Year reflection

I learned a lot in U.S. History this year.  I learned a lot about thinking with empathy and sympathy when we studied slavery and the movie 12 Years a Slave.  Empathy has helped me understand many aspects of our modern culture.  I have also learned to persevere through my work, like the movie 13 Days.  And finally, I have learned to see all sides of any historical/political event.  Seeing all sides has helped me understand current events and possible solutions to political and cultural issues.
